The Mission of Beloved Church is
What We Believe
Beloved Community Statement of Faith
1. One True God
God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent I AM, the Creator of all life, and Redeemer of mankind who is infinitely perfect, wise, and powerful; manifested as Father (Yahweh), Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit.
(Isaiah 43:11, Luke 3:33, Genesis 1:1, John 1:1-4, 14 1 John 5:7, Matthew 28:19)
2. The Inspired Scriptures
The entire Bible, Old and New Testaments, is a completed and infallible work called the Word of God because it was written by men under the inspiration of God. This work contains a completed revelation of God for mankind and the final authority for all Christian faith, theology, doctrine, and conduct.
(2 Timothy 3:15-17, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 19:7-11, Psalm 119)
3. The Deity of Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal and unique Son of God Who shares in the full deity of God. He is also truly man, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, crucified on a cross as the sacrifice for all sin for all mankind for all time, was raised from the dead on the third day, ascended into Heaven, and is presently at the right hand on the Father as our High Priest, the only Mediator, and Advocate.
(Matthew 1:23, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Philippians 2:6, Hebrews 7:21-8:2, 2 Timothy 2:5-6)
4. Original Sin and the Fall of Man
Man was created perfectly in the image of God, but disobeyed and ‘fell’ from the plan of God. From the fall, sin entered into the creation and brought death by sin causing not only physical sickness and death but also spiritual death and separation from God and His divine plan. The fallen state of mankind resulted in a loss of the eternal life of God and even from an intimate relationship with God Himself. All persons are born into a life that develops a nature that misses the mark of God’s glory (sin). Because of the death brought in through Adam’s transgression, every person requires Salvation irrespective of their own good or bad (morality) behaviors.
(John 3:3, 16-17, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:11-21, Ephesians 2:1-3, 1 John 3:4)

5. Salvation by Faith
Man sins (misses the mark) due to his revealed sinful nature. Only through the payment of the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His defeat of death, hell, and the grave do we enter into a salvation position with God. The act of believing in what Jesus Christ has done for us as the Good News (Gospel) positions that person to become ‘Born Again’ (New Birth) receiving a new divine nature. This salvation and eternal life, provided as a free gift from the grace of God, can only be obtained by exercising faith in the person and completed atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Once obtained the believer is completely restored to fellowship (right-standing) with God, their divinely appointed dominion, and to a priestly role unto the Most High God.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23, 10:9-10, John 3:3-6, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 2:10, 1 Peter 3:4, 1 Peter 1:19, 1 Peter 2:9-10, 2 Peter 1:3-4)
6. Baptism in the Holy Spirit
The baptism (complete immersion) of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus Christ and to indwell, guide, and empower believers for life, service, and relationship with God. This baptism is promised and available to all believers and brings the gifts or empowerment of the Holy Spirit and its uses to make them proper witnesses (martyrs) locally and worldwide. This experience is distinctly different from and subsequent to the New Birth of Salvation and is commonly evidenced by the initial sign of "speaking in tongues" as the Spirit of God gives utterance to those who will receive that heavenly language.
(John 7:38-39, Luke 11:13, Acts 1-4, 1 Corinthians 14, Mark 16:17-18)
7. Divine Healing and Complete Wholeness
This salvation, new birth, and redemption provided by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ includes a completed form of salvation going beyond forgiveness of sins and avoiding Hell. Jesus' work in life and death was a complete form of redemption from all forms of evil and misery brought about by sin including completed healing, prosperity, and a sound mind. This atoning work covers all the parts of mankind (Spirit, Soul, and Body) and is an integral part of the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ.
(Isaiah 53:4-5, Acts 10:38, 1 Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17, Galatians 3:13, 2 Corinthians 8:9, 2 Timothy 1:7, 3 John 1:2)
8. The Church or Body of Christ
The true church is the joining together of all allegiant believers by the Spirit of Christ resident inside every member. The universal church has the same foundation commission and ministry of reconciliation to the world and each other which is carried out through each member’s individual gifting and calling as ordained by the Head, Jesus Christ for the purpose of edifying the body and Gospelizing the world.
(Romans 8:9, Ephesians 1:22-23, 1 Corinthians 1:27, 12:27, Ephesians 4:11-12, 16, 2 Corinthians 5:18)
9. The Sacraments of the Church:
Baptism in Water - All who believe in Christ Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior are commanded to be immersed in water demonstrating and declaring that they have identified with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. This act publicly symbolizes the believer’s loyalty to Christ as Lord and is an ordinance to be observed but is not a means of salvation.
(Mathew 28:18, Mark 16:16, Acts 10:47-48)
The Lord's Supper - Communion is a symbolic expression of our sharing the divine nature of the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as a memorial of His suffering and payment in death. It is a covenant meal sealing His commitment to us and our commitment to Him. The bread symbolizes Jesus’ broken body which atoned for our human brokenness and the cup symbolizes His shed blood which is for the remission of sin.
(2 Peter 1:4, Luke 22:17-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-31)
10. Second Coming of Christ -
One day coming, the entire Body of Christ will be caught up together to meet the Lord at His return to consummate His eternal kingdom on a renewed Earth, and so shall we be forever together with Him in the newness of life. The Parousia (second coming) of the Lord is a central theme for the New Testament authors and believers as a real object of hope for those who endure in the faith.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matthew 22:32, 1 Corinthians 15:41-54, 2 Corinthians 4:14)
11. The Final Judgement
There will be a day when all men will be judged for their entrance into their eternal destination. Those who have accepted the Lordship of Jesus Christ will be judged worthy to receive glory and honor from God the Father because of the righteousness inherited from Jesus and then enter eternally into a place prepared for them in the New Jerusalem. The wicked who have rejected Jesus by deed and word will be judged according to every unrighteous act and sentenced to Hell or the "Lake of Fire" for eternal and unimaginable torment, forever separated from God.
(Revelation 20 and 21, Luke 9:43-49, Matthew 12:36)
12. Sanctification
We Believe Sanctification is a finished and progressive work of grace resulting in a transformation of character and conduct, a process of spiritual growth to which every believer should be intimately committed; the believer’s part includes renewing the mind, yielding to the Holy Spirit, and obedience to the Word of God for moral standards.
(1 Corinthians 1:2, Hebrews 9:13, 2 Timothy 2:21, Romans 12:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5; 5:23)

13. Sanctity of Human Life
We Believe all human life is sacred and created by God in His image and as a representation of His image – spirit, soul, and body; that God created man (male and female) to have fellowship with Him, pro-create, love his fellowman, and restore divine dominion in the earth. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life, including pre-born babies, the aged, and the physically or mentally challenged from conception to natural death.
(Genesis 1:26-28, Psalm 139:13-18, Proverbs 24:11-12, Matthew 22:39)

14. Marriage
We Believe Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman for life, reflecting Christ’s relationship with His Church, serving as the cornerstone of a stable society, and providing the best model for children who themselves have God-given natural rights to ensure a healthy and protected childhood.
(Ephesians 5:31-32, 6:1-4, Hebrews 13:4)
We believe God designed Sex exclusively for the marriage relationship; therefore, intimate sexual activity outside of the Biblical marriage covenant (including adultery, fornication, homosexual conduct or bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and the use of pornography) is contrary to God’s will for our good and is immoral.
(1 Corinthians 6:9-11,18; 7:2; Romans 1:26-27)
We believe God has wonderfully and immutably created each person with a distinct Gender – male or female, each complimenting the other and together reflecting the image of God; therefore, any attempt to reject or change one’s biological sex is arrogantly against God’s design and sinful.
(Matthew 19:4-5; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
Additionally, we believe every person should be rightfully treated with compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity, irrespective of repentance or faith, and regardless of how one may “self-identify.” Moreover, we believe God offers mercy, forgiveness, and restoration to all who repent of and forsake their unrighteous ways, and the Holy Spirit gives power to resist temptation and to live overcoming, abundant lives through Jesus Christ.
(Titus 3:2-3; I John 1:9; 2 Timothy 2:19,22)
